Douglas C-47 “Skytrain” Rides

The Douglas C-47 is the is the military derivative of the DC-3 passenger plane. The Great Lakes Wing of the CAF will be giving the patrons of the Indianapolis Air Show the opportunity to fly in an aircraft that has become a legend in its own time. The DC-3/C-47 is the transport aircraft that all that have followed it are judged by. The reason that these venerable and versatile airplanes have flown for such a long time is that the original construction was very robust. Consolidated B-24A “Liberator” Rides

Last year in 2007 was the first year that the Indianapolis Air Show had in attendance the world’s only flying B-24A. This year the B-24A will be attending the show and again, as in 2007 will be giving rides on this extremely rare aircraft. Not only is it the only A model B-24 flying, but it is only one of two B-24s that still fly in the world. Boeing B-17G “Flying Fortress” Rides

As in the past The Yankee Air Force will be presenting the opportunity for rides in what is considered to by aviation enthusiasts and experts to be the most identifiable and famous American bomber of World War ll. Only a handful of Flying Fortress’s still fly, so do not miss the opportunity to take a flight around central Indiana in this rare warbird.
