Indianapolis Air Show arrangements for Sunday parking, reminds that Saturday tickets will be honored

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Indianapolis Air Show organizers plan to go forward with scheduled performances and activities tomorrow, Sunday, June 13.

The air show was cancelled for today, due to heavy rainfall that created unsafe conditions in the parking areas, and low ceilings that led to unsafe conditions for the aerial performers.

Patrons who purchased tickets for today’s air show at Mt. Comfort Airport will be able to use those tickets Sunday.

According to Bob Duncan, chairperson of this year’s charitable event, a temporary road has been built for tomorrow’s show that will allow event-goers to utilize one of the airport’s runways and taxiways for parking.

“We sincerely regret that the Indianapolis Air Show had to be cancelled for today, but it was a matter of safety on the ground and in the air,” Duncan said. “We’ve worked hard all day to ensure that everything is ready to go for Sunday – the last day for the air show – and we look forward to wowing big crowds with high-flying performances, exhibits, food and plenty of fun.”
