Indianapolis Air Show cancelled for June 12; tickets will be honored Sunday June 13

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Indianapolis Air Show organizers have cancelled the event for today, Saturday, June 12. Organizers say that heavy rainfall overnight created unsafe conditions in the parking area for the show and low ceilings created unsafe conditions for the aerial performers.

Patrons who purchased tickets for today’s air show at Mt. Comfort Airport will be able to use those tickets tomorrow, Sunday, June 13.

“We sincerely regret that the Indianapolis Air Show had to be cancelled for today,” said Bob Duncan, chairperson of this year’s charitable event. “But it was a matter of safety on the ground and in the air. Water is currently running through our parking areas like rivers.

“We will work hard all day today to ensure that everything is ready to go for Sunday, and we look forward to wowing big crowds with high-flying performances, exhibits, food and plenty of fun,” Duncan said.

The air show team is currently reviewing the parking situation at Mt. Comfort Airport and will provide details later today about alternative parking options for tomorrow.
