WHY:
A jet and two pilots from the U.S. Naval Flight Demonstration Squadron – better known as the Navy’s “Blue Angels” – are flying into Indianapolis on Friday morning to begin discussions with Indianapolis Air Show organizers regarding next year’s charity event at Mt. Comfort Airport.
The 2009 Indianapolis Air Show will be held June 5-7 at Mt. Comfort, earlier in the summer than in past years.
The last time the Blue Angels were in Indiana was in 2007, when they headlined the Air Show.
