U.S. Army Sky Soldiers at 2007 Indianapolis Air Show
INDIANAPOLIS, IN — June 19, 2007 — For the first time ever, the U.S. Army Sky Soldiers will perform at the Indianapolis Air Show, flying four Cobra Attack helicopters in low-level precision demonstrations. An elite team of combat-veteran patriots sponsored by the U.S. Army, they are the Army’s first aerial demonstration team since 1976.
SKY SOLDIERS FACTS AND STATS:
- The U.S. Army Sky Soldiers are one of the most flight-and combat-experienced military demonstration teams in the world.
- The U.S. Army Sky Soldiers are the first military demonstration team in history tutilize veteran personnel rather than active-duty.
- Flight Hours: 68,000 military flight hours with 5,400 combat hours
- Decorations: 10 Distinguished Flying Crosses, 9 Bronze Stars and 130 Air Medals
