WTHR TV-13 to Video Stream Indianapolis Air Show Live
INDIANAPOLIS, IN — August 21, 2007 — WTHR-TV (Channel 13) announces it will provide a live streamcast of the Indianapolis Air Show from Mt. Comfort Airport this weekend, August 25th and 26th. The streamcast will be available at http://www.wthr.com/ both days of the show.
The Indianapolis Air Show, now in its 11th year, will feature the U.S. Navy Blue Angels Jet Team and an extensive list of additional performers.
New to the show this year is the Curtiss SB2C Helldiver from the CAF (Commemorative Air Force,) the freshly reconfigured B-24A from the CAF, a Supermarine Spitfire and Hawker Hurricane (both from the Russell Group in Canada), a Hawker Sea Fury from the CAF and a T-28 from Walt Gdowski.
Returning after several years away from the show will be the Junkers JU-52 and the Cessna T-50, both from the CAF. In total, there will be around 40 warbirds on the field at the Mount Comfort Airport.
The entire weekend will be filled with an array of activities for the entire family. In addition to the five hour air show, spectators can enjoy an antique and classic car show, a WWII military encampment, and many other displays, exhibits and vendors.
